Have you ever wanted to connect to some of the coolest, high-growth companies?
Ever want to learn what they're working on?
We did, and after some hacking, hustling and 400+ applications, deCODE was born.
At its core: deCODE matches top tech talent and companies across Canada.
Students hack with company engineers to solve a challenge presented by the company, through collaboration, ingenuity, and creativity to create something amazing and present it by the end of the weekend.
At the backend of the event, there's something much more at play.
What's it like to work at Google? Amazon, Kijiji, Klipfolio, or TripAdvisor?
What type of problems do they work on?
What's the culture like?
Their tech stack?
We wanted answers, and more than what a simple Google Search would give.
Why do Companies Participate?
What's in it for the companies?
Only the very best students make it to deCODE, and for two days, they learn about the culture, technology and mission of the company.
Even better, the students skip the process of hunting out a recruiter and trying to sell themselves in 30-seconds, and get to be themselves.
They're able to establish real connections with industry experts, where they can easily be evaluated over the course of two days, based on their social aptitude, ability to work in a team, and technical prowess.
To top it off, companies gain exposure to massive student communities, and our very own alumni group for future job opportunities, and first hand selection of some of Canada's top software talent.
